I searched immigrationportal.com and only found few than three cases in the last three months about H1B denial. The number does not seem to be unusually high to me.

It gets interesting. Doesn't it? Even if the court agrees that this is a fiasco and would like to compensate the beneficiaries by allowing us to file for 485, it would be in direct violation of the law that " there must be a number available on the day of filing ".We don't have any numbers. Do we? My point is, will a judicial system go out of the box and allow us to file when there are no visa numbers available? The only way is get numbers and make every one file and the only way for that is to undo what the USCIS has done in the last 2 weeks of June. Just my thoughts. I am ready to take anything positive out of this because I have least hopes pegged on the law suit.
If there must be a number at the day of filing, who's responsibility is it to manage that then? The applicant's? I filed my eb-485 based upon *their* indication that there were numbers available. I relied upon them in good faith that there were. Now I understand that they did their best to use them up as soon as they issued the visa bulletin--probably because the July 485s would not be at the higher fee schedule.
I think a judge would have no option but to allow the filings. It is not that allowing the 485s to stand would break the "numbers must be available" law. That law has already been broken, when they put Cs all over the visa bulletin.

I definetly believe the captions we write are going to come in the news. So, writing good message will make it more memorable. We have to come up with many of such messages.

IOs at TSC are responding to the enquiry of your case i.e they give info about name check status.
But in NSC the IOs are not giving any information, they are just saying they can't tell anything.This happened to me two times since last week.Does any one got same experience with NSC?

No reason to loose energy. Enjoy what you have and make the best out of it. Agree, this should be the way everybody lives his/her life. And none of us should even complain when millions of illegals are suddenly made legal by the Government and they jump the line in front of us for no fault of ours and there are EB3s still waiting from 2001. The illegals have taken a risk right by jumping across the border and staying here illegally???

I can't help but laugh at all these taking moral high ground. They talk like this even after looking at what is happening in so called highly ethical american corporates.
There are rules and people smart enough and daring enough go ahead and push it/bend it as much as possible to achive what interests them most.
As of April 2009, the person who asked the original question and the consultant who asked the question assumed they should be able to land a contract job once October rolls around.
It is a common practice, without going into how it is unfair for the numerous others who have job offers in hand.
Now what would you say to the people who sold houses worth 500,000$ to the people who are making 40K per annum or so? The people who took the risk bear the reward or repercussions.
The person who took a risk by applying for H1 without a client offer, and the consultant would have been rewarded financially if they were able to land a job.
Now that they can't, they have this potential of being illegal stay/out of status or whatever that they have to deal with.
So I suppose, if we can help him with answers to the questions he is seeking and provide any guidance that will help him deal with the results of his decision , as many are doing on thread, that is great. If not, don't have get so preachy/flamey.

My I-140 is pending in TSC. I have applied I-485 for self and wife on July 18. Received by K.Lawson in NSC on July 19th 9.29 AM.
Check are cashed today by TSC, saw the SRC# in back of my check.
