people say I support it as if they are in the congress committee and the moment they say "I support it", the idea become a bill and gets passed.
Writing letters, requesting the lawmakers for a 10 year EAD due to the retrogression would be a easy task for most of the IV members. This would create awareness and those who are afraid of meeting lawmakers would find a chance to do so. Once it create a momentum the group would be active to work on bigger issues.
Great, if this bill gets passed it gives confidence we can do something. our voice shows strength and then more members would contribute, work on more action items etc..

CitiBank recently launched their Online Remit service. I used it for the first time last week and the exchange rate offered was best of all other services. Their fee is a flat $1 for any amount transferred. I did the same amount transfer at the same time with Citi as well as Remit2India and I got 16 Paise per $ more with Citi.
Keep in mind, every new business tries to offer best services in the beginning to attract customers and I suspect it will be same with Citi too. So their rates may be great now but could be whole different story in few months. They also disclose in the fine print that the exchange rate offered includes conversion commission.
If I were to order my preference on a permanent basis I would rank SBI, Citi, Remit2India, ICICI and then Western.

I was worried about not having paystubs from my previous H1B holder, and if that would affect my chances of H1B transfer with this other company I am with right now. My transfer got approved in TWO days (during mid Dec. last year). Yes, I did go through premium processing, but approval in TWO days! That was great.
Anyway, can anyone tell me where I go from here? To be precise, what is the maximum time limit to go for stamping to a visa consulate? Please advice.

The fees keep changing and should be checked on the website of your nearest Canadian Consulate/Embassy.

I worked for an employer in WY 2004 as a physician and since then i resigned and moved onto another job with a new labor and I-140. However last year at the time of July isa bulletin fiasco, I asked my employer from WY in 2004 to file for an I-140 based on the previous approved labor condition in 2004 to retain that priority date under EB -2.
Employer knows I have no intent of joining them after the green card and I have my own practice , so i donot intend to join the practice.
In this scenario, if this considered a misuse of retaining priority date and how do i prove the intent and will the USCIS allow a situation like this?

Our segment was about 40 minutes in. My web streamer won't allow fast forward, don't know if limitation is the client or the server. Robert and Ron go through the standard Pro / Anti H1B arguments for the first 40 minutes. I didn't want to be part of that.
I hate listening to my own voice, thanks for the complements, it will make listening to my own voice less cringing.

my attorney said When you interfile, even if ur previous PD is current, you cannot file 140+485 together..
you have to first file the 140 requesting the previous PD be ported and then once that is approved..file you 485..!!
but he said....if ur PD is current you can take a chance and file both 140(requesting porting)+485 ..but then the chances of 485 being sent back are high..

Hey there, I have a three year bachelor's (from Australia) and an American CPA. I believe the two can be evaluated to an Ameircan Master's equivalent. Please, check with your lawyers. It should be possible.

I would have love to see a section to show that we are law-abiding and the contribution of our family to our community and the economy. It all depends upon the school. You just need to show them that your 485 is pending and you have AP with you, you have used it or not does not matter. But the most important thing is to convince the school. One of the senior members, had posted their own experience and it has helped me a lot to get the FAFSA approved for my spouse. Let me know if you have any questions. I will also try to find that thread.
